SPLIT PROGRAMS
The handouts below give some information and examples on constructing body-part split programs, which are often necessary for intermediate and advanced trainees who want to continue building muscle size.
The key thing to remember is that advanced programs are for advanced trainees. Advanced trainees need these types of programs in order to continue making progress, after they've built a solid foundation using simpler training programs. If you are able to make progress on a more basic program, you should stick to that program and only move up to this type of program when you need to.
The first handout gives some examples of different weekly schedules for body part splits. The second gives some examples of intermediate and advanced workouts within those schedules.
